Description:
Coronary stent X-Position (BMS or DES, Sirolimus) manufactured by Stentys S.A. is a nitinol self-expanding stent attached to a balloon catheter by means of an outer fixing polymer sheath. The cover prevents the expansion of the stent to the nominal size determined by the "memory shape" of nitinol.
During inflation, the delivery system cylinder tears the latch cover longitudinally from the distal shoulder of the balloon to the proximal one, which leads to the release and implantation of the stent. The cover is securely fixed to the catheter shaft and after removal of the stent is removed together with the delivery system.
X-Position stents have a variation in diameter between 1.5-2.5 mm without balloon post-dilatation, which provides an excellent result of angioplasty in ACS, as well as with complex anatomy of the affected area, including recalibration, ectatic transformation, a bifurcated LCA barrel.
Bifurcation stenting.
Adjacent "crowns" of the X-Position stent are connected by means of provisional breakers. With bifurcation stenting, inflation of a balloon catheter conducted along a conductor between adjacent roots as close as possible to the coryne causes disintegration of the necessary number of jumpers, opening wide access to the lateral branch and creating a good basis for T-stenting ??
The X-Position stent provides a simple, convenient and safe solution for bifurcation stenting
